Lontza is an exceptional cold meat, produced from pork fillet. What people at the “Stremmenos” cold cut factory do, is simply salt it, pass it through natural intestine and hang it in nets. This last step allows it to mature naturally, for about two months, in the aromas of the fir-tree forest of the area. The careful salting of it, the slow natural maturing process and the absence of any preservatives, all give lontza its outstanding aroma and delicate taste. Slice it and arrange it on a cold meat platter, add just a touch of freshly-ground black pepper and enjoy!
